Australian-American Mining has identified a new copper volcanogenic mineralised sulphide target 1 kilometre north of its Bluebell mine in Arizona.

The Bluebell North target was identified during the ongoing interpretation of data package acquired by the company this year. The data includes 339 soil samples on a 15-30 metre by 120 metre grid, 1 kilometre north of Bluebell; 120 metre line-spaced magnetic survey covering 5 square kilometres around Bluebell and interpretation of an electro-magnetic survey covering 5 square kilometres around Bluebell.

The soil samples show a 700 metres long copper anomaly over a threshold of 100 parts per million that remains open towards the south. It is also in a similar setting to the Bluebell mine.

The average copper grade within this anomaly is 413 parts per million with the highest value of 1,262 parts per million.

Aus-American will be following up in the field to confirm the soil anomaly and complete a soil sampling program over a wider area in the first quarter of 2013.

It will also drill the Bluebell open pit target in the first quarter of 2013 and will complete geophysical work over the newly staked ground in the second and third quarter of 2013.
